Kos Airport is a fully civilian airport and receives regular visitors from both Athens and Rhodes on board either Olympic Airlines or Aegean Airlines. As an international airport it also handles many charter flights. 

About Kos:
Kos is a Greek Island part of the Dodecanese Island chain. The principal town of the island is Kos Town. Kos has some of the finest beaches in the Dodecanese. Visitors will also delight in the old Corinthian columns and the ancient Greek ruins of Kos Town. Kos itself has something for everyone from rustic tavernas to busy cafes. 

Travelling Around Kos:
It is well worth renting a car as soon as you arrive at Kos Airport. The airport is located 24 kilometres southwest of Kos Town and is therefore a quick and easy ride to your destination. The roads on Kos are in good condition, drive to the harbour area, or to the magnificent castle in your own time. 

Staying in Kos: 
Kos is a poular destination and has a range of holiday accommodation. You will find something to suit each budget from cheap family owned domatia to luxury hotels. It’s a good idea to book in advance as accommodation does become fully booked during the summer months. Kos Town is excellent for families and hotels are in abundance around the harbour streets. Further afield, Kefalos beach is cheaper with many small apartments situated in the beautiful hillsides above Kefalos village.
